No matter what the Biden regime says, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is determined to “do as much as possible to put up more border barriers and deny illegal entry.”
Abbott said these words to Tucker Carlson in a recent interview from India, adding that “regardless of what the Biden administration is doing,” Texas will continue to keep its head down and do what is necessary to protect against the illegal invasion.
Abbott told Carlson that he is “prepared” in the event that Biden tries to take over the Texas National Guard, which many Democrats are now petitioning him to do to stop Texas from protecting its border.
“That would be a boneheaded move on his part, a total disaster,” Abbott said about the possibility of Biden making such a move. “We are prepared in the event that that unlikely event does occur.”
“We do have other armed state employees on the border as we speak right this minute, and that’s the Texas Department of Public Safety, as well as other law enforcement officers, as well as National Guard from other states. And you can be assured there will be more National Guard from other states and more law enforcement officers within the state of Texas and other states.”

(Fact check: The U.S. Constitution allows for Texas to wage war against the federal government to protect itself from imminent, open-border invasions.)
Echoing Abbott’s concerns is a letter sent by 10 retired FBI officials and experts in counterintelligence to Congress warning that the Biden regime’s open borders policies are facilitating a “soft invasion” of the United States by military-age men, many of whom hail from terror-linked parts of the world.
It is almost as if Biden and his people want America to fail as they allow unfettered illegal access to the country. The situation is so serious that Gov. Abbott recently invoked the invasion clause of the U.S. Constitution, which suggests a terrorist attack could be imminent.
“The threat we call out today is new and unfamiliar,” the letter reads. “In its modern history, the U.S. has never suffered an invasion of the homeland, and yet, one is unfolding now.”
“Military age men from across the globe, many from countries or regions not friendly to the United States, are landing in waves on our soil by the thousands – not by splashing ashore from a ship or parachuting from a plane but rather by foot across a border that has been accurately advertised around the world as largely unprotected with ready access granted.”
The letter goes on to warn about a “multi-division army of young, single, adult males from hostile nations and regions whose background, intent, or allegiance is completely unknown.”
“They include individuals encountered by border officials and then possibly released into the country, along with the shockingly high estimate of ‘gotaways,’ meaning those who have entered and evaded apprehension,” the letter further states.
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.) responded to the letter by calling it “sobering.” He, like Abbott, believes that Biden’s open borders policies are “a clear and present danger to America.”
Gov. Abbott also recently declared that Texas has a right to self-defense, calling the migrant crisis an “invasion.” A coalition of 25 Republican governors has signed a letter in support of the Texas resistance.
